Rapper Slim Thug Partnered With Checkers To Feed His Community On The North Side of Houston!
Rapper Slim Thug alongside Checkers Restaurants fed over 200 residents from Slim Thug’s former neighborhood, Garden City Apartment Complex on Thursday, November 12. Attendees received cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, fries, and a plethora of coupons for free meals in the future. Slim Thug is no stranger to giving back to the community, so it was ideal for him to return to the area he grew up and provide lunch. This is apart of an on-going initiative that Slim Thug & Checkers have to provide community activations throughout Houston.
“It means a lot to me to be able to return to my former neighborhood and give back. Checkers has provided me with an opportunity to continue to serve my community. It felt really good seeing the many smiles on the residents’ faces,” says Slim Thug.
