The end of a marriage is never an easy thing, especially after the holidays. Take actor and director, Forest Whitaker who filed for divorce from wife Keisha Nash Whitaker Thursday. The Black Panther star cited irreconcilable differences as the reason. The couple, met on the set of the 1994 film “Blown Away” and exchanged wedding vows May 4, 1996. They are the parents of two daughters: Sonnet, 22, and True, 20, and each has a child from previous relationships.
Whitaker is asking the court to not grant spousal support to his wife, and that they individually, take care of their own legal fees. The division of any property shared, will be decided upon at a later time.
We wish the two an amicable resolution for this private family matter.
