Yesterday Camila Cabello took to her Instagram to open up about her anxiety. The star most known for her song Havanna talked about her struggles during her childhood and how she took her life into her own hands.

” I never ever sang in front of my parents or friends and would get flustered when they would ask me to, I sang in my room when my parents left for Walmart and cried when one day I saw them filming me through the crack of the door, I got teary eyed when people sang happy birthday to me because people looking at me actually made me overwhelmed. I was generally incredibly nervous and socially anxious when I was little…,” she captioned in her first post.

Cabello explained her struggle as having “two” Camila’s inside her. She describes the two Camilas as polar opposites. The little Camila that is still terrified of what might happen, scared of the unsure and the unknown, and can only picture what might go wrong. Then she says she has the other Camila. She describes this Camila as someone who knows what she wants out of life and is ready to “run the show” while forcing little Camilia to step out her comfort zone.

In her second Instagram post, Cabello states that “You choose who you’re going to be. Force yourself to do what you’re afraid of, always- and go after what you want and who you want to be, because you’re worth that. You’re worth the fight”. It is safe to say that her posts and honesty will help some people out, as a lot of us do struggle with our own mental health. I believe the best thing to take from this is that we gotta take little us and push them out their comfort zone.
